About John
John Pacini is a seasoned, tested and proven C-suite leader and marketing industry pioneer, known for his groundbreaking work in helping launch today’s $60B creator-based groundswell marketing and demand-generation industry. John has built multiple successful businesses, having sold two of them to large publicly traded companies. Currently at Ziff Davis Media (NASDAQ: ZD), John is integrating creator marketing initiatives throughout the organization. In his tenure at Ziff Davis he has launched the CreatorCenter influencer program and is leading Ziff Davis shopping brands such as RetailMeNot in enhancing both efficiency and profitability in their word-of-mouth-powered revenue streams.
As CEO of Mom Media, John led its growth to become North America's #1 family-focused creator marketing and demand-generation firm. John has designed and launched the dem-gen and word-of-mouth marketing programs for some of the nation’s largest brands and global organizations, and in 2021 was tapped to create and lead the White House COVID-19 pediatric vaccine family outreach program for 2021 and 2022. In 2023, John led an M&A process resulting in the acquisition of Mom Media by Ziff Davis Media.
Previously, as COO of TriTaur LLC, John launched an early online network and SaaS platform for families, working with major brands like Sony and Amsa to guide their online word-of-mouth marketing efforts in the family and women’s space. Prior to that, John built and sold a fintech company to John Hancock Financial, then playing a key role in Hancock’s own M&A plans and eventual acquisition by Manulife.
John's education includes a two-year postgraduate financial program at Rice University, an M.A. from New York University, and a B.A. from St. Edward’s University. He has served in numerous board and advisory roles for organizations including the United Way and New York University.
John has been an on-camera contributor for CNN, Fox and CBS, has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, New York Times and Money Magazine, has served as a guest host of the nationally-syndicated BusinessMakers Radio Program, and writes on business topics for Forbes.com.
